Ten of the best video game voice actors

An actor most well known for is excellence in numerous voices in Futurama, including Bender. He's also put his talent into video game voices, doing the gravelly Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, and both the light-hearted lilt and and bestial voices of Wakka and Kimhari in Final Fantasy X.

The quintessential narrator. He almost always trades on his vibrato filled voice wow gold that is incredibly deep. If you weren't sure by name, you'd definitely recognize the voice. He did the Elder God in Legacy of Kain, Magneto in X-Men Legends, and the narrator in about a jillion things.

Another very talented fellow. He does all kinds of things in both voice and live action, including wow gold Hermes Conrad (and others) in Futurama. In video games he's done voices like Vamp from Metal Gear Solid 2 and 4, various voices in FF: Tactics, Reddas in FF XII. Very talented in sheer variety. Oh yeah, and he was Marvin in Pulp Fiction (the guy who gets shot accidently).

One of the most well-known female voice actors. She's Naomi Hunter from Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4, Bastila from KotoR, Alex from Eternal Darkness, and Samus from Metroid Prime 2, and the female Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, among other things.

Probably the most often heard voice of his would be WoW's Blood Elf Male. He is most often found under the "additional voices" heading, but he's done Shadow of Rome, Painkiller, Everquest, KotoR, Neverwinter Nights. Not to beat it to death, but he's also in Metal Gear Solid as Liquid Snake.

He's one of those people who does live action and voice. Another fellow who has a very identifiable natural voice which he can use to great effect. You might recognize him as the spokesperson for the Navy commercials, but you'd also know him as the Arbiter in Halo, Captain Anderson in Mass Effect. If you're old enough, he was also Goliath in the Gargoyles cartoon.

Okay, I think this is the last guy from Metal Gear Solid (Big Boss/Solidus Snake/The wow gold Fury). Unlike other voice actors who dabble in cartoon and anime, he primarily does video games. He's Nobunaga in Onimusha, Pious Augustus in Eternal Darkness, Haldir in Battle for Middle Earth II. He's In AoE III, X-Men Legends, and Ninja Gaiden. Not well known, but very talented.

Obviously known for Star Wars, but he found himself not doing much acting after that, so he turned to voice work. He's done the Joker in various Batman offerings, an assortment of "additional voices." One very impressive offering, unfortunately in an unimpressive game, was a rendition of the gruff and gravelly title role in Wolverine's Revenge. I had to look it up when I saw the credit.

Another talented female voice actor. Probably best known for being Cortana in the wow items Halo series, and the very recent Zoey in Left 4 Dead. She's also done Princess Peach and Toad in several Mario games. She's a little younger than some of the others on the list, starting her voice career in 1997.

Yes, another live/voice actor. Most recently well-known for his role as Hellboy in the films of the same title. He's the narrator in Fallout 3, Lord Hood in Halo 2 and 3, Hoodoo Brown in Gun, and has done Batman on occasion.

David Hayter (Solid Snake), Ed Asner for various, Simon Templeman (Kain), Michael Bell (Raziel), Frank Welker (pretty much every animal voice ever), Quinton Flynn (a lot of various), Patrick Stewart, Christopher Lee. Anyone else?

Hmmm. David Hayter, while excellent buy wow weapons as Snake, hasn't done much more than that one individual voice. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Looking over James Arnold Taylor, I'm afraid I don't see anything that makes him particularly "legendary." He's talented and versatile, but the biggest things (besides his dozens of licensed cartoon/game contributions like Obi-Wan and Harry Osbourne) are roles like Ratchet and Tidus. Nothing screams 'Mel Blanc.' He certainly belongs on the list, but lacking him is not a crime.

Maurice LaMarche (The Brain, Kiff Kroker) has buy wow weapons significantly fewer video game credits, but he still rules. Same with Billy West. Believe me, Futurama is about my favorite thing ever.

Another good one to add would be Robin Atkin Downes, David Kaye, Ian McKellen. heck, Oscar Winner Louis Gossett Jr. was the voice of the freakin' Vortigaunts in Half-Life: 2
