Fly to Christchurch for

Yup, that's right.

Someone at JetStar has lost the plot. A new buy wow weapons sale, which hasn't even officially been announced . yet . is promoting flights from Sydney to Christchurch from just $29 each way. Now that is stupid cheap.

Now I'm only telling you this because I've already booked my own . wow items prepare for a sell-out in absolutely no time . but once I added up my luggage and booking fees, and decided to treat myself and fly at reasonable hours, my return flights for a snowboarding holiday are still less than $203.

Absurd.

Christchurch is a great jumping-off point for some of my favourite snow spots. Wanna Wanaka? It's just a 424 kilometre, scenic six-hour drive away. A few more kilometres down the track and you'll be carving up Cardrona. And just under 500 clicks from 'the church' is the South Island hot spot, Queenstown.

Just remember that if you go cheap don't expect the service or the frills. Even on a full airfare i was horrified at the service.

I have traveled airlines all over the world including the low cost ones and JetStar would be rated as one of the worst in my book.

Make sure you read the fine print first.

Booked my own 'powder pow-wow' for August in Wanaka. Flights are going fast. I did have to get on the phone due to site meltdown, but 15 mins wait was worth it for the great return fare (approx. $215 once CC fees are included). I remember when flying one way to the 'Church would have cost in excess of $300+ the one way.

Now just gotta find buy wow weapons somewhere to stay and pray the 2009 ski season in 'anaka is VINTAGE!
